Chicago Magazine’s Best Places to Live: Edgewater
This is pretty cool.
We recently came across Chicago Magazine’s Best Places to Live article, from earlier this year, which ranked Edgewater as one of the top 12 neighborhoods to live in the city.
“Talk to residents and you’ll hear them describe a near-magical place: broad Lake Michigan beaches, lovely tree-lined streets, cool shops that are easy to walk to, and watering holes where everyone knows your name. The list of pros goes on and on. Diversity? Check: Andersonville, in particular, has attracted many gay residents (who have remade the upper reaches of Clark Street into a hot design-store destination). Easy access to downtown? Jump on the Red Line or an express bus that will whiz you down Lake Shore Drive, the prettiest commute in the city.” – Real Estate 2014, Chicago’s Best Neighborhoods and Suburbs: Edgewater
We’re super impressed by how hard our friends over at the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, Edgewater Chamber of Commerce & The 48th Ward Office have been working to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood and get the word out. We’re guessing you guys had a hand in this one as well. Nice work!
