Would you support having a “Ciclovia” Open Streets Program that came through Edgewater?

There has been a lot of discussion in the neighborhood over the years about putting Broadway & Clark on a possible “road diet” by extending bike lanes on them and whatnot (at least up in our Edgewater Glen neck of the woods).

Without touching that complex topic, it got us wondering…

Would you support having a (city sanctioned) “Ciclovia” program that came through Edgewater occasionally? We will leave this anonymous online poll below open for a few days if you want to check back to see what the pulse of the neighborhood is on the topic.

This is completely anonymous, unofficial, unscientific and fallible. We just thought it would be fun for everyone to see how receptive the neighborhood would be to a program like this.

(You can select the “View Results” link at the bottom of the poll anytime)

If you are curious about what a Ciclovia is or want to learn more about the Open Streets Initiative, we’ve posted a few videos below the online poll.

  1. Events like this are so good for the neighborhood – people talking, mingling & you can meet your neighbors. Plus a road diet along Broadway would be great – it’s such a waste of space currently and doesn’t carry as much traffic as it’s designed for.
