Local favorite, Lickity Split Frozen Custard & Sweets, is opening a new location!

For the past three years, we have been lucky enough to have Lickity Split in our community and now, it is time to share the love. We are so pleased that owners Ken Anderson and Luke Klein have seen enough success in Edgewater Glen that they are able expand to their new store at 7000 N. Western Avenue at Lunt.

The new store opens on Monday, January 5th! It will have slightly different décor, but will feature a similar ambiance. The new location is smaller than their location in Edgewater Glen, so it won’t have live music or the gourmet chocolate counter, but they will have something new… fudge! The new location will also have a kitchen on-site so all of the tasty baked goods for both locations will be made fresh on the spot. All the things we love about Lickity Split, like delicious Frozen Custard, amazing “Crazy Cake” concretes, coffee from Metropolis, a full espresso bar, and our old-time candy favorites will be there.

Ken Anderson said they were drawn to this particular location for several reasons – they knew and like the neighborhood, they see it as up and coming  – very similar to their current location in Edgewater, the owners of the new location are also the owners of their current location and they have been incredibly supportive. The building was also previously a Baskin Robbins so it has a good layout for a frozen custard shop as well.

Owners, Ken and Luke are delighted to expand their business and are looking forward to being a part of the community. Let’s show them some love by checking out this new addition to the northside.
