Edgewater Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Small Business Advocacy Council (SBAC) to produce Edgewater Pitch Fest on Tuesday, June 23, 5:30 p.m. at Firehouse Chicago, a Chicago firehouse turned events venue at 1545 W. Rosemont Ave.
Edgewater Pitch Fest is an opportunity for four entrepreneurs to share their big ideas to launch or grow their businesses before a panel of expert judges and an audience of supporters, potential partners, investors, and customers.
Keynote speaker Adam Robinson, CEO of Hireology, will kick the evening off by sharing the story of his entrepreneurial journey from startup to his recent $10M investment from Bain Capital.
Katrina Balog, executive director of the Edgewater Chamber says, “Edgewater is home of thousands of business owners who have pursued their dream by starting their own business. Pitch Fest is an opportunity for us to showcase that entrepreneurial spirit and shine a spotlight on four startups from around the City who are launching new ideas.”
Companies pitching at Edgewater Pitch Fest are: Dimension Polymers, a recycled 3D printing filament manufacturer; Education Data Solutions, a product that helps educational institutions track metrics; Homeology, a community matching service for home buyers; and Sorc’d, a cloud-based tool that helps companies and publicists keep track of press mentions and collaborate within their company.
One pitching company will be named the winner by a combination vote of the panel judges and audience. The grand prize is valued at over $5,000 and includes legal services from Cole Sadkin, LLC, marketing services from Mabbly, accounting services from Michael Caramagno, CPA, and a two-month membership at Creative Coworking.
Tickets for Edgewater Pitch Fest are $40 and include food, drinks, and networking. Visit edgewater.org/pitch for tickets and more information about the event.
