Raven Theatre is happy to invite all our Edgewater Glendonian neighbors to Neighborhood Night this Friday, February 5th. Neighbors will enjoy wine, beer, and cheese at the free reception from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Immediately following the reception is the production of Horton Foote’s The Old Friends which will begin at 7:30 p.m. Half-price tickets are $21 with the code EDGE. Tickets may be purchased online at www.raventheatre.com or by phone at 773-338-2177.
Set in the 1960s in the fictional town of Harrison, Texas, The Old Friends tells of the combative members of two longtime old-money Texas families. When hometown beauty Sibyl returns to Harrison after a long absence, not-quite-forgotten passions and jealousies resurface in a wildly funny play that is, uncharacteristic for Foote, brutally satiric in its depiction of small-town people with big money.
