Looking for something fun to do with friends & family this weekend while supporting our local neighborhood institutions? Checkout St. Gert’s 6th Annual Gralley!
This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone but it looks like we’ve been voted Chicago’s “Most Underrated Neighborhood” by Time Out Chicago!
We still love you too Logan 🙂
Check out Eco Andersonville’s Pop-up Park & Market this Friday, August 29th.
A number of us stumbled upon this little gem in Andersonville earlier this summer. We are thrilled it is making a second appearance. There will be bocce ball, corn hole, live music and an outdoor movie showing later in the evening.
If there is any interest in the neighborhood, maybe we could organize something similar in Edgewater Glen next summer!
A number of you have brought Care for Real’s Back to School Back Pack Drive to our attention. Their mission is to help our neighbors in our community by providing food, clothing and referral services to those in need. If you are able and willing to help out their website is: http://careforreal.org/
We’re guessing there are quite a few extra back packs in the neighborhood ready to go back to school!
“Care for Real is preparing for our Annual School Drive and we need your help! We’re planning to distribute 800 backpacks chock full of items to ensure every child kicks off the school year right. Most needed item includes LARGE BACK PACKS for students 5th grade and above. Donations are light this year and we’re concerned we may not have enough back packs to help every kid. Please consider hosting a Back Pack Drive or dropping off Large Back Packs at our offices by August 15!” – Care for Real
